I have this unit, i also have the blue pads... unit is i assume about 20 years + old... all works, pump water drips down onto pads... the blue ones in your photo... brand new... yet not cooling... i'm just getting air, no cooling what so ever.. and i'm here in hesperia ca where there is little to no humidity... why...?

If there is a mechanical issue, you can submit repair request if your product is still under warranty.. other than that hesperia’s dry climate is ideal for evaporative cooling, so humidity is likely not the issue. make sure all four pads are completely and evenly wet—not just dripping at the top—and check the water tubes for clogs. this model requires properly fitted 2-inch pads; thin blue pads may allow air to bypass the wet media. also open windows or doors to provide adequate exhaust airflow.

Together item means the price you see is the price you will pay if you purchase the item with another item.
